“My Art Encounters” Program
Since the first edition in 2015, the Art Encounters biennale took upon itself the role of introducing the public to contemporary art. Oftentimes considered a closed domain, accessible strictly to professionals, and because of its predominantly conceptual nature, contemporary art usually requires guidance in the process of deciphering its different layers of meaning.
Our interaction with contemporary art must not be a rigid one. Depending on each viewer’s experiences and interests, it can impart distinctive messages to different people as long as it is approached with curiosity and the courage to break out of their self-imposed set of mental norms.
